A visit with Aunt Dorothy

We spent one afternoon at Explora. The kids had a blast playing, and learning.

We ate out a lot.  Including this very yummy vietnamese restaurant near our house.

Aunt Dorothy helped me organize ALL our pictures!  They are now in boxes according to the year they were taken.  I also cleaned out the downstairs closet, and donated a ton of stuff.  The pictures are right on the shelf in the closet, super easy to get to now.

We played some games while she was here, and we ate a LOT of ice cream, and even squeezed a trip to the movies   We saw The Secret World of Arrietty.

As you can see I (Mom) am not in any of the pictures.  I've been super sick with as Dorothy calls it the plague.  I look even worse than I feel, we don't need pictures of that!!
It's been nice having her here.  Savannah cried after she left tonight, asking why we don't see our family more.  I wish we did too.

Up to my eyeballs in Valentines...

Luckily, I'm finally done with all of them, phew!!

Savannah- lip whistles
Griffin- swedish fish
Trevor- skittles

All of these ideas were found on the internet.  Griffin loved the fish bowl idea. It was on Esty.  I didn't want to pay for the download, so I called my sister and asked her to create something similar.  In a few minutes she whipped up the cute printable, thanks so much Kim!

Trying to be crafty

I decided I wanted to make Savannah a cute Valentines Day shirt in early January. I bought the stuff and it sat until Griffin was home sick last week.  Since we had to rest and stay home for so many days, it was the perfect time to finally make her shirt.  It turned out pretty cute, not perfect, but who cares.

Yes, the heart is off center on purpose!

She wore it to school today because I wanted her to.  She thought it should be  saved as a Valentines surprise.  I wanted her to wear it the whole month of Feb.  On V-Day I think I'll have her wear it it with red tights and her cute skirt.  She likes it, and that's all that matters, well and that I finished a project.
